Combine the cachet of Honda Goldwing with the hipness of Joe Rocket and what do you get? Joe Goldwing? OK, dumb question. What you get is this jacket!

This Motorcycle Jacket sports a nylon outer shell made with Hitena. What is Hitena, you ask? Seems that every jacket maker has their own version of Gore-Tex, but of course they can’t call it Gore-Tex since that’s trademarked. Hitena is Joe Rocket’s breathable/waterproof hybrid material that’s similar to Gore-Tex.

It also sports a waterproof liner for those days when you need a little extra weather protection and warmth. Or, if it’s a nice day out, you can unzip the torso panels to leave behind a barely-there, mostly-mesh jacket.

The shoulders and elbows feature CE-rated protection pads, while the spine pad is removable and can be upgraded to a CE-rated one as well.

Other features include adjustable sleeves, an adjustable waistband, and snaps for attaching the jacket to a belt.

Available in four different color combinations including black/titanium as shown at right. Also available are dark red and black, dark blue and black and yellow and black.

These boots are a comfortable, rugged and affordable option. For something higher-end, see the Gaerne SG-10 boots. But for an excellent combination of quality and value, stay right here and read on.

These boots from Fox Racing provide much of the technology available in more expensive boots. The buckle system, for example, is lightweight aluminum with a pivoting lock. The bases of those buckles rotate for an accurate fit.

The outsole is a durable rubber that comes in two options — a traditional MX or a more rugged, all-terrain style.

Other features include a contoured shin plate for an anatomically snug fit, and integrated pull straps for easy on convenience.

This is another stylish jacket from Answer Racing. It’s primarily intended for runner’s, though it’s versatile enough for everyday wear as well.

Note that there’s no hood on this jacket, so it won’t do you any good in the rain. But since it’s made of a cotton blend, it probably isn’t a good choice for rain anyway. Top it off with an Answer Stadium Jacket, though, and you’re ready for all kinds of weather.

It does, however, have a full-length frontal zipper that goes all the way up the neck and deep hand-warmer pockets. So while you might not want to wear this in the rain, it will keep you warm in chilly, evening weather.

As for style, it’s got the bold Answer name and logo on the front in brown, white, and baby blue. The words ‘Motocross Originals Since 1976′ are arranged in a semi-circle around the logo.

Those logos are silk-screened so they’ll stay put.

The photos you seen online may not quite do it justice — it’s more of a deep brown color, not a black as shown in many pictures.

This is a good complement to the Answer Runner Jacket. That jacket is nice and warm, but provides no rain protection. The Stadium Jacket is just the opposite. Put them together and you’re ready for anything.

This is one of the more understated jackets from Answer Racing. It features just three colors — the black of the jacket itself, the bright white of the large Answer name and logo on the back, and the neutral gray of the Answer name on the elbow. The front left chest also features the name and logo in white.

This jacket is ready for full rain protection — it features a full hood with a cinch clasp, adjustable wrist tabs (in gray that matches the previously-mentioned elbow design), and an adjustable waist. All these features are designed to keep moisture out of the openings of the jacket.

There’s one thing I’m not sure about and that’s the material. I wish I could tell you this was made of nylon. I’m about 90% certain that it is, but haven’t been able to confirm it anywhere. If you know for sure, please leave me a comment and I’ll update this review.

There’s not too much info available on these Answer Track Jackets, but they’re really quite stylish.

They’re made of a light-weight, cotton-blend and feel like a classic comfortable sweatshirt should. The brightly-colored logo and Answer name on the chest has got the Answer style — hip, bright, and a bit sassy.

Primarily intended for women, this jacket sports its pattern in purple, baby blue, light green, and pink. That logo is a perfect match for the back right shoulder blade, which features a similar, smaller pattern in blue and green.

This jacket also features a hood and full-length frontal zipper. Also available is a matching set of pants, for a full track-suit.

This is no ordinary kids motocross boot. No, this one comes from Gaerne, which means you know it’s going to be special. Check out the Adult version of this boot to see what I mean.

This boot is Italian made, using premium, full-grain leather for the uppers along with a microfiber in front for comfort. The plastic buckles provide a snug fit for any foot.

Safety features include a kick plate on the front of the sole, a heavy-duty leather heat shield, an injection-molded heel for a snug fit, and a durable shin plate.

These boots are made in Italy with genuine full-grain leather. The buckles on the upper are made of light-weight aluminum and are adjustable to fit almost any size leg.

The sole is a custom-made dual-compound rubber that is designed to last. The inner sole consists of a gel pad that conforms to the rider’s sole, much like one of those Swedish memory-foam pillows. This eliminates the need (and extra weight) of an inner bootie. And it’s darn comfortable.

These are the same boots that Team Factory Connection uses — including Heath Voss and Mike LaRocco.

Available in carbon and white or what’s called “black and black”, which really means white buckles on a primarily black boot.

This Kawasaki jacket from Joe Rocket is made of genuine lightweight (1.2mm to 1.4mm) cowhide leather. It’s an officially licensed product from Kawasaki, not a knock-off, and comes with the quality that is Joe Rocket.

Safety features include CE-rated (which is the European Union’s stamp of approval) protectors in the shoulders and elbows, and an removable spinal pad that has a pocket for an optional CE-rated protector. The stripe across the armbands are reflective as well.

For air management, it has windproof sleeve panels and a ventilation system consisting of molded air vents for channeling air throughout the jacket.

The waistband is adjustable and houses an eight-inch full-circumference zipper for attaching Joe Rocket pants.

Also available with green accent instead of black.

This is quite a versatile jacket. Start with the climate control — it’s got zippered vents on the sleeves and the back for maximum airflow. Additionally, it comes with a removable insulated liner for the vest area. This makes it a “three season” jacket, appropriate for all but the coldest weather.

Next, add in the ‘hidden’ pockets. There are two. The first holds your MP3 player, and has a grommet hole for headphone cords. The second tucks away near the neck and can hold a full face shield.

Next, consider the full-circumference pants attachment, which has the potential to make this jacket part of a full-body suit.

Throw in the adjustable waistband and elastic sleeve adjusters. And finally, consider the CE-rated protection pads in the shoulders and elbows and the removable spine pad (upgradeable to a CE-rated protector).

This is a lightweight (1.4mm) genuine cowhide leather jacket made by Joe Rocket. The Honda name and logo has been officially licensed, so you know it’s genuine.

The outer shell is perforated for extra air cooling, and the inner lining is nylon mesh. All this means this jacket is best for warm weather riding. The leather is supple though, so will accommodate an inner layer for added warmth in cold weather.

As with many Joe Rocket jackets, this jacket pairs perfectly with several of their pants. The full-circumference zipper allows the pants to attach perfectly and become part of a full body-suit.

The protective armor in the shoulders and elbows is CE-rated, meeting the European Union’s highest standards. The spinal protective armor is included, and can be upgraded to a CE-rated pad.
